Kanya Sanskar Mandir (Tribal girls hostel) (Inception: 1947)

Untouchability eradication and education for Harijan girls were the main goals in establishment of Kanya Sanskar Mandir. It was established by the efforts of worker of Harijan Sevak Sangh Shri Parikshitlal Majmudar on 22-10-1953 later after 01-09-2000 it was further developed as hostel for schedule caste & schedule tribe girls. At present 72

girls are staying in it and studying. Up till now 1408 girls took advantage of this hostel facility for clerks, nurses and others lead a dignified life as housewife. In this hostel admission is not granted on basis of merit marks but it is granted according to economic condition, economically weak people are uplifting and empowering their lives. Dahyabhai Govindji Public Medical centre and Maniben Bhimbhai Maternity home (Inception: 22-2-1954)

Keeping in mind the urgency of medical services this practice started in the front yard of a house, today it is a full fledged medical centre. Patient from near by surrounding villages came to the medical centre for remedy. Everyday more than 70 patients are treated almost free of cost.

Maternity home was established on 28-5-1958. For women maternity period is very crucial. In this maternity home needy women are aided by charging very nominal fees. If circumstances arise these women are provided with nutritious food also, following departments are functioning in the medical centre.

Gandhijivan Exhibition gallery (Inception: 1958)

There is a gallery of valuable pictures of Gandhiji's life and times exhibited in the "Gandhijivan" Gallery. Half bust of Gandhiji placed here was inaugarated by Smt. Ushaben Gokani great grand daughter of Gandhiji.

Balvantrai and Induben School for deaf & dumb Kachholi (Primary, Sec. & Higher Sec.) (estd: 2-7-1962)

This is one of the well-known residential school of the state. The foundation stone ofthis school was laid by Ex Prime Minister of India Late Shri Morarjibhai Desai. At present 159 boys study in this school. Till date 1605 children are trained in this school. Formerly this school

was known as the school for deaf and dumb, but as it received donation of 22,22,222 rupees under the naming project, it is named as "Balvantrai and Induben school for deaf and dumb."

The school adopted the policy that students should get vocational guidance along with formal education. Vocational training is imparted to the students so that they can become self sufficient. In sports at state level this school has given its best performance for 15th time, at all India level it was general champion twice. The school has

obtained 1710 medals at state level and 241 medals at national level. Girls and boys have received scholarships worth Rs. 5,69,100 in total. Elementry drawing exam is passed by many deaf boys. Intermediate exam is passed by 263 deaf boys. Textile designing (Hobby work) course conducted by Kala Maha Vidyalaya Amalsad is opted by students, 72

bright rooms. There is very good arrangement of lodging and boarding for these boys for their all round development extra curricular activities are given prime importance.

Devbal Kanya Chatralaya : (inception 02-07-1962)

The hostel for dumb girls was established ever since the establishment of school for deaf and dumb. There is a provision made to take special case of deaf girls. There girls are accommodated in fully airy and bright rooms. There is very good arrangement of lodging and boarding for these girls for their all round development extra curricular activities are given prime importance.

For entertainment television sets are arranged in the sections of both young and elder girls. According to contemporary trends these girls are taught the art of 'Menhdi', hair styling, handicraft etc. Sewing, Knitting, Art making etc.

In the vast space available at our disposal in the institution, now we plan to develop and construct new girls hostel and girls school. Within a short span of time we propose to start modern school with advanced equipments like computer aided multi-media class-rooms along with indoor and outdoor stadium for sports. It is our faith that we can relieve these girls from all kinds exploitation, your generous donations can strengthen our faith and promote our zeal for this noble cause. This entire plan costs crores of rupees but we know that your hands and hearts are full and with your kind co-operation we will visualize this dream together. If we serve these physically challenged children almighty will bless us with his boon.

Dhaniben Khusalbhai Patel Adivasi Balwadi. (Inception 1-11-1967)

Halpati and Adivasi children can come together with their own same type of clan and learn without any hesitation or complex in this baalwadi. At present 13 children are taking the advantage of growing collectively in this balwadi.

Gajraben Kikubhai Naik Primary Sec. & Higher Sec. School for deaf girls, Kachholi (Inception 14-6-1983)

Co-education school for deaf and dumb children was established on 2nd July 1962, on 14th June 1983 an independent unit for deaf girls was established and this was known as 'Gajraben Kikubhai Naik school for deaf girls'. The only school in Gujarat and entire nation. At present 125 girls study in this school. (This school is the first of its kind as it is the only school in India for deaf girls.) Under the naming project it received Rs. 21,21,121

and it was named as mentioned above. Till date 768 girls are trained here. In the competition of deaf girls this school is continuously winning championship for 16 times. It has received 892 medals at state level and 442 medals at national level.

* The Inauguration of "New Badhir Kanya Sankul" was done by the kind hands of Shree Morari Bapu on Dt. 15/12/2018.

Till date 217 girls passed elementry drawing examination & 198 girls have passed the intermediate examination. Tailoring and garment making exams are passed by 1 27 girls.

Shri Morarji Desai Naturopathy cure and research centre (Inception21-12-1985)

Rotary computer Centre : (Inception 01-01-1999)

To be in tune with the world around deaf children are given training in computer centre. I.T.I, recognized D.T.P. operator training is imparted in this centre. In each batch 10-15 children are given training.

Gaushala (Shelter for cows)

To provide children with fresh & pure milk and to obtain natural fertilizer from the residue of crows this Gaushala was established at present 11 cows and 11 calves in this gaushala a re reared. This will be a gauraring talim kendra in near future.

Jayaben Thakorbhai Patel Naturopathy Centre :

This centre is on a wider base on the banks of river Ambica it is conducted by Gandhighar Kachholi. This is hygenic and clean place established for healthy mind and body. It is inspired by the ideals of Gandhiji & here disease is uprooted entirely from the human body. It is method of complete healing from ailing without medicine.

Treatment given in the centre : Here mudbath, mud therapy, full body massage etc., under the naming project donation, of Rs. 34,00,000 was given by a generous donor and therefor it was named as 'Jayaben Thakorbhai patel Naturopathy Centre.' After the founder of Gandhighar Kachholi Shri Kikubhai passed away on 06-04-2005 at the age of 102, at present Shri Balvantrai is elected as chairman ofthis centre. As the chairman is based in U.S.A. the Vice-chairman Shri Anilbhai manages the affairs of the naturopathy centre. Dr. Ishwarchandra is appointed as secretary, Shri Manojbhai is the manager of this centre. All these people have zest for the best and they work collectively for best outcome of their selfless input.

On the occasion of the 21st death anniversary of Pujya Kikubhai Gulabbhai Naik, the founder of the deaf and mute school run by Gandhighar Kacholi, the inauguration of a modern “Bharati Dining Hall and Kitchen” for boys was held on 6/4/2026. The inauguration was carried out by Jadu Thakur Das Prabhu of Govardhan Eco Village, in the presence of Chief Guest Mr. Hardik Naik and other invited dignitaries. Continuing the tradition, the Kikubhai Gulabbhai Naik Charitable Trust honoured individuals for their outstanding contributions in various fields.

• Mr. Bhagubhai Darji was honoured for his contribution to a healthy society
• Mr. Virbhadrasinh Rathod was recognized for his work in the welfare of the deaf
• For their contributions in women & child welfare Dr. Falguni Rathod was honoured from Navsari district.
* Ms. Purvaja Bhatt was recognized for Valsad district & Ms. Nitaben Asubhai Patel was honoured for Dang district services.

They were presented with a ceremonial token ( Gandhi’s sutra aanti), certificate of appreciation, bouquet, shawl, and cash price.

On this occasion, deaf and mute children presented outstanding performances of “Two Ras Garba” and “Ladki 2.0”, which were winners at the Umang Utsav and are matter of pride for Gujarat. The dignitaries were amazed to witness the rhythm, coordination, and talent displayed by these Disable children.

In the loving memory of Late Bharatiben Mehta, this dining hall has been constructed through the generous donation of Mr. Dolatbhai Mehta, Mr. Sushilbhai Mehta, and Mrs. Seemaben Mehta family. Their family has always extended whole hearted support to the service mission of Gandhighar.

Under the Special Sports Mahakumbh 3.0, various state-level athletics games for deaf, mute and differently-abled children were organized at Sports Complex Nikol, Patangan, Ahmedabad. In connection with which, it is a pleasure to inform that in the Special Sports Mahakumbh 3.0, the children of B and E Nayak Deaf Kumarshala, Gandhighar Kacholi have won a total of 22 medals, including 9 🥇 Gold, 7🥈 Silver and 6🥉 Bronze medals, and have made the school family proud at the district level and the state level…

In the State-level Special Sports Mahakumbh, the daughters of G.K. Nayak Deaf Girls’ School have won 7 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze medals in the athletics competition and have increased the pride of the school institution 🏆🏆🏆✨💫
