school for deaf & dumb on 1962, school for deaf girls on
1983, printing press on 1967 & Computer classes on 1999
for deaf.

Gandhighar Kachholi owes its origin to an idea
floated by Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Trust floated the idea to
set about 100 Gandhighars in rural areas in different parts
of the country. The primary purpose was the propagation of
Mahatma Gandhiji’s concepts, ideas, perceptions,
teachings and techniques for rural reconstruction through
the medium of constructive activities.

Kikubapa The Founder Of Gandhigharkachholi. he Born on
September 11, 1903, at his maternal grandfather’s
house in Salej, Kachholi, Dist. Navsari, he received his
education at Gramseva Dixit, Gujarat Vidyapith in Ahmedabad,
where he was honored with the “Gramseva Dixit”
certificate by Mahatma Gandhi on January 14, 1931. Before
India’s independence, he was deeply involved in the
country’s struggle for freedom, actively participating
in the Namak Satyagraha picketing and the Civil Disobedience
Movement as part of the Quit India movement.He was
imprisoned five times for his role in the fight against
